The National Schedule
Every roundabout on the Register is certified against a fixed schedule of six classes. Its class is settled by deterministic survey — constituency and context first (the density of daily life it serves), then fame, then any honour it holds. The Register does not deal in intermediate sums; a subject belongs to one class and pays the fee fixed for it.
Class I£49.99
Class II£29.99
Class III£19.99
Class IV£9.99
Class V£4.99
Class VI£2.99
Class I is reserved for the summit of the national index. Most subjects, in all honesty, are of the base class — which the Register considers no disgrace whatsoever.
